Job Description As a Sr. Applications Engineer in the Standard Products Group Strategic Marketing Department, you will:
Define, develop and support best-in class power conversion solutions for high power industrial, consumer white goods, solar power and power supplies. Build and test hardware, software prototypes to verify new product performance. Characterize, debug and test companies new power discretes and their applications in customer designs. Design and develop new product evaluation and demo boards. Generate sales collateral such as data sheets, application notes, presentations for customers. Provide new product technical training to Sales and FAE organizations. Conduct on-site training and seminars on customer sites in various regions. Using SPICE and other simulation tools, perform system level simulations on new power discrete products and their applications. Design and present demos for trade shows and technical conferences. Write and present technical papers and design articles highlighting new product performance. Participate in regulatory and industry organization.
Requirements:
BSEE, 10+ years of experience in power conversion; MSEE is preferred; Experience in IGBTs s preferred. Experience in high power conversion (DC/DC and DC/AC) design, development and applications. Ability to do circuit simulation and PCB layout. Work closely with design, test, device engineers in varied locations in a team environment. Establish and maintain strong working relationship with customers, business marketing, FAEs and sales organizations. Good verbal and written communications skills.
